IN FLAMES New Webisode Features New Song Teaser

inflamesplayground

Melodic metal pioneers IN FLAMES have finished recording their latest album, Sounds of a Playground Fading, and they have just released their 3rd webisode that was filmed during the recording process. Like nearly every band that has existed for more than 10 years, IN FLAMES have been the butt of criticism for an evolving sound.  I will admit, I personally am a fan of every album; however, my favorite is everything from Clayman and earlier.  Those early sounds are what originally attracted me to the band, but I can still say I enjoy their newest music although it is a bit different. Metal Lyrics for Dummies

poprock2

If you are a fan of heavy metal, and I will assume you are considering you are reading this, it’s probably a safe bet to say you have heard your fair share of metal criticism – from fellow metal heads as well as non-believers.  Often I will hear people (especially parents and people totally alien to metal) say that it’s just noise and you can’t understand what they are saying.  To them, I say bologna.  Metal music is some of the most pure, energetic, and to put it simply, awesome sounds that exist in the entire universe.  To their comment of not being able to understand the singers – in many cases, I whole heartedly agree. MARGIN OF ERROR bloody things up with their new horror music video

Ohio's MARGIN OF ERROR recently released their newest album, What You Are About to Witness, and they seem to have started things off with a controversial bang.  In today's music video world, I find it all too common for bands to take the easy way out when it comes to making music videos.

ELUVEITIE Bring The Party To Jaxx (Video Footage Included)

eluv4

Swiss folk metallers Eluveitie just finished up their North American tour with 3 Inches of Blood, Holy Grail, and System Divide.  Having been a fan since the release of Spirit, I was super pumped to finally see them live.  As any fan of theirs knows, they have a vast array of musical instruments that they blend so well with their heavy metal roots.  I wondered how this would turn out live and if they could pull it off, and sure enough, they pulled it off and then some!  I always find it hard for a band to meet my expectations if I have never seen them live and I am used to only their records; however, Eluveitie were able to raise the bar!
