QUEEN Biopic Bohemian Rhapsody Nominated For 5 Oscars, Including Best Actor & Best Picture

The Bohemian Rhapsody hype train continues. The film won big at the Golden Globes – both Best Actor for Rami Malek, who portrayed Freddie Mercury, and Best Drama for the film. Today, with the nominations for the 91st Academy Awards announced – the film might win big again.

Rami Malek is nominated for Best Actor for his performance, but he's got some heavy competition:

Christian Bale, “Vice”
Bradley Cooper, “A Star Is Born”
Willem Dafoe, “At Eternity’s Gate”
Rami Malek, “Bohemian Rhapsody”
Viggo Mortensen, “Green Book”

The movie is also nominated in the main category, Best Picture. Here are the other nominees:

“BlacKkKlansman”
“Bohemian Rhapsody”
“The Favourite”
“Green Book”
“Roma”
“A Star Is Born”
“Vice”

The film was also nominated for three technical awards – "Sound Editing," "Sound Mixing," and "Film Editing." The awards get handed out February 24th on ABC.

Bohemian Rhapsody is already the highest grossing biopic of all time, pulling in over $700 million.
