The metal world was shocked when Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi announced he had lymphoma. A year and a half later, Iommi is cancer free, but not without a price. He has to regularly go in for check-ups and blood transfusions. Iommi described the arduous process he goes through to the Birmingham Mail. Here are highlights:

Clive Burr, who drummed on Iron Maiden's self titled, Killers, live EP Maiden Japan, and Number of the Beast has passed away as of March 13th, 2013, due to Multiple Sclerosis. The band published the following statement:

This is sort of unreal. Legendary guitarists Tony Iommi (he of Black Sabbath) and Brian May (he of Queen) have been quietly collaborating on a new project, with a unique twist. It's not exactly a new full-length album, but a gathering of riffs, that will be delivered to you to do with whatever you chose.

Professional video for the song "A Eulogy For the Living Lost" from the CD "Into Night's Requiem Infernal." Filmed in Florida with the same director who created "Autumn Reflection," Tony Myles and Cage XXI have created a vision of a post apocalyptic television broadcast. This unique look was filmed with the custom made "Wartooth" camera.

Black Sabbath have been recording their new album, tentatively titled 13, for the better part of the last few months. The band are currently working with session drummer and Rage Against The Machine skinman Brad Wilk. The latest word from bassist Geezer Butler? The band is done recording and getting ready to mix the album.
