Machine Head parted ways with longtime bassist Adam Duece and it wasn't pretty. But, with a big national tour on the horizon this summer, the band need a new bassist, and rather than look inside the pool of studio bassists, the band is opening up the floor to fans to audition.

Whoa! I did not expect this. Last Friday, the metal world was rather shocked when Machine Head announced they were parting ways with bassist Adam Duce. Everything seemed pretty civil, but in a new blog entry, frontman Robb Flynn sort of tears into Duce, saying the bassist was basically "over it" for the last decade [...]

If you tuned in to this past Sunday's edition of The Metal Injection Livecast, you were privy to some new information on The Dillinger Escape Plan. Guitarist Ben Weinman was on the phone from the studio in LA where the band is recording their new album.

Last week, we posted that Underoath have declared that they are calling it quits. The band said they will wrap up the year with a career retrospective, Anthology 1999-2013 out Nov. 6 on Solid State Records. Today, the band has released their final tour dates, which happen in January. Here is the routing:
