Last night was the fifth annual Revolver Golden Gods and without question, the biggest one yet. Metallica performed! Anthrax got up on stage with Phil and Rex to perform "This Love?" Dillinger Escape Plan bled and breathed fire. Overall, it was a great night that we're still recovering from.

Extol are absolute legends, and for the first time in eight years they're doing some new music along with a documentary. On a scale on one to psyched out of your mine, how psyched are you?
We've always had a great time at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards. We've been on the black carpet every year (watch some of our interviews), but this year it seems like they really stepped it up for their 5th anniversary.
Some of the songs in Metallica's arsenal are absolutely timeless classics that will be heard for years to come. I love when somebody takes a famous song and reworks it and fiddling with "Nothing Else Matters" has been done before, be it by Macy Gray, or this choir. Some music whiz has now taken the [...]
If you read my intro to last year's list, you already know how strongly I feel about music, an expressive art form, being forced into a competitive sport-like structure. I do however, love to share my passion of metal with the world every day, and as some of you know, spend more time seeking out [...]
The news that Slipknot was announced as the final headliner for Download Festival 2013 should have maggots everywhere excited, even if they're not planning to attend. The band will headline the opening night of the fest, Friday June 14th with Iron Maiden headlining the next night, and Rammstein closing out the three-day rager. Why is [...]
Slipknot were deeply affected by the passing of their bassist, Paul Gray, after accidentally overdosing in 2010. The band have slowly been putting back the pieces, hitting the road in tribute to Paul and putting the wheels in motion on a new record. Everybody is writing, and it turns out before his passing, Paul Gray [...]
Wintersun need more time! THEY NEED MORE TIME! The band was all set to release their long awaited sophomore effort, Time I, it was all set to come out on October 16th, but now it's been delayed due to manufacturing issues. Thankfully, it's only delayed a week. The band laid it all out in a [...]
Paul Gray, the late Slipknot bassist who was found dead in his hotel room roughly two years ago could have been involuntarily killed by his physician, Daniel Baldi. According to the Des Moines Register Daniel Baldi is being charged with eight counts of involuntary manslaughter. One of those counts is Paul Gray. The case against Daniel Baldi states [...]
If Slipknot has been off your radar in the past few months, it’s imperative to know that this is not exactly a new album from the band. I know I perked up immediately when I had first heard reports of Antennas To Hell coming out, but was subsided a bit after learning it was a [...]
With Mayhem Fest kicking off this weekend, you can expect a lot more Slipknot in the headlines. To kick it off, the new issue of Terrorizer has an in-depth interview with drummer Joey Jordison. Jordison has been the flag-barrer for Slipknot to keep going ever since the passing of Paul Gray in 2010. He's already been [...]
When I first arrived to bum-fuck Oklahoma for Rocklahoma, I didn't know what to expect. Being from Texas, it's like we're bred to think that everything Oklahoma sucks. While that could be true for somethings, certainly not Rocklahoma. I had a fucking blast! What I was most excited about was being able to camp among [...]
Corey Taylor, a man who two years ago said it's too soon to talk about Slipknot recording, is now finally at the point where he can discuss the progress Slipknot is making. The healing has begun! It makes sense, since the band recently got together to celebrate the two year anniversary of the tragic passing [...]
That's right folks, two years! Time definitely flies, and this time it's sad to think that it's been two years since the tragic passing of Slipknot bassist and co-founder Paul Gray. Gray was found in a hotel room after overdosing on drugs. To commemorate the occassion, the remaining members of Slipknot got together at Gray's [...]
You read that right, folks. The headline says it all. Ahh Danzig, almost as fun to write about as Dave Mustaine. Seeing as though I am theWalter Cronkite of metal (or maybe the Barbara Walters), I met Danzig once and interviewed him. He was cool, he said I looked like the son of the Big [...]
