I just got way more excited for the new album from Battlecross, the band have announced they have recruited former the Black Dahlia Murder drummer Shannon Lucas to be the session drummer on the record. 

We already know that Children of Bodom and Amon Amarth are locked in for this summer's Mayhem Fest but Mayhem doesn't go everywhere. The tour released this new teaser video hyping their official announcement on March 18th:

Metallica is back for round 2 of it's fully curated festival. It's happening in Detroit at Belle Isle, June 8th and 9th, and today, the festival announced it's very eclectic lineup. 

The track comes from the band’s full-length debut Pursuit of Honor, out August 2nd in North America via Metal Blade Records. Watch this time lapse video of the making of the album art.
