If you can picture yourself sitting in the darkest space imaginable for years with nothing more than a pen to record and isolate your thoughts you would barely begin to scrape the cell splitting, mind melting insanity that is about to melt you like a subatomic bomb. Earth is dead. Too bad you're not.

Show Recap

See the full photo gallery from this show. Last April presented an extraordinary opportunity to cover two 1349/Gate to Khaos shows in Western Norway in two cites I’d never before visited – Bergen, and Stavanger. Never one to turn down an opportunity to go wherever the music wishes to take me, (especially if it’s a [...]

I am completely floored by the awesomeness that is the new Testament track. "True American Hate" can be streamed above, and comes off the band's upcoming release, Dark Roots of the Earth out July 31st on Nuclear Blast Records. The track sounds like a monster, epic leads, epic riffs, killer drumming by Gene "The Atomic Clock" Hoglan and [...]

It’s always been my motto that “I’ll go wherever the music takes me,” and since no place on earth is any further than a plane ride away, my last global metal adventure took me and my trusty camera to Wrexham, Leeds, and Manchester, UK for three EAR-gasmic nights with Norway’s own 1349. Having last seen [...]

But that's all in the past. Let's talk about this week's giveaway. One lucky winner will receive super-killer prize which is metal drum [...]

Periphery have posted yet another new track on their MySpace page, titled The Walk. The song has plenty of "djent" to make their fans satisfied. I think this is my favorite track they have premiered so far. The album hits stores on 4/20 and is already up for pre-order. If you want a little less [...]
Frank's Favorite Drumers
Posted on August 11th, 2009
Being a drummer myself, I'd have to admit I tend to hone in on his business more so than the rest of the band. It's a well known saying that "the drummer can make or break any band", but there is a lot more to it than hitting things as fast as you can to [...]
Metal Injection Livecast, Podcasts

This is a very vaped edition of the METAL INJECTION LIVECAST as Rob, Noa and Anthony partake in vaporizing throughout the show. Mid-way through the show, Jose Mangin from Sirius radio calls in and explains what it really is that gets us high. Also, we dedicate perhaps too much time to talking about the Gathering, [...]
