The metal world is still shocked about the news that broke yesterday that Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman of Slayer passed away due to liver failure at the young age of 49. Musicians everywhere have been paying tribute, and here is a roundup of their kind words for the influential guitarist:

SPRING BREAK! Which means no one is home, no one is buying records. Consequently, not much coming out this week, but there are a few gems sneaking in under the radar.

To backtrack, Century Media has filed a lawsuit in the state of New Jersey seeking damages over illegal downloads of Lacuna Coil's Dark Adrenaline and Iced Earth's Dystopia (without the band's consent).
