When Five Finger Death Punch brought up legendary Judas Priest vocalist Rob Halford out to perform a new track at the Golden Gods a few weeks ago, I was pretty shocked. Seems like an odd pairing, no? Well, the odd pairing's radio single just hit and here it is:

The metal world is still shocked about the news that broke yesterday that Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman of Slayer passed away due to liver failure at the young age of 49. Musicians everywhere have been paying tribute, and here is a roundup of their kind words for the influential guitarist:

Last night was the fifth annual Revolver Golden Gods and without question, the biggest one yet. Metallica performed! Anthrax got up on stage with Phil and Rex to perform "This Love?" Dillinger Escape Plan bled and breathed fire. Overall, it was a great night that we're still recovering from.
